There are many ways to have your voice heard by elected officials and policy makers. Both the League of Women Voters United States and the League of Women Voters of Michigan study current issues and encourage advocacy through Action Alerts.
During the week of March 9-13, 2026, Jeanne Witherspoon joined the League of Women Voters delegation of UN Observers to the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW70), held at UN Headquarters in New York City. This annual conference brings together thousands of government representatives and civil society advocates from around the world to advance gender equality and women’s rights.
The League of Women Voters of Holland Area is a non-partisan organization working to empower voters and defend democracy. We provide information about the voting process, hold candidate forums, sponsor voter registration drives, publish voter guides and maintain the VOTE411 website. These are are just a few examples of our league’s activities.
