Support the League
In 1920, six months after the ratification of the 19th amendment, giving women the right to vote, the League initiated its work on education and advocacy. The League is nonpartisan and never supports political parties or candidates. We do, however, study issues, develop consensus positions and advocate in our community for those consensus positions.
The League of Women Voters Holland Area is a trusted source for non-partisan information that works to inform and empower voters, increasing engagement in our democracy.
Donors like you have made us the most trusted voice in positive solutions to public policy issues. We rely on dues and donations to support our programs.
The League is a nonprofit organization; however, the LWVHA General Fund does not have 501 (c) 3 status. We also support our voter education endeavors through LWV Education Fund, which does have 501(c) 3 status. If your tax status requires you to donate to a tax-deductible 501(c) 3 fund, then you should direct your contribution to the LWV Education Fund. Please be sure to identify the correct fund for your donation.
