Thursday, July 17th is Good Trouble Lives On, a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the current administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with the people.
July 17th is the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing, and people will be taking action across the country to defend our democracy and carry forward his legacy of Good Trouble. The LWVUS is encouraging League members to participate in this national day of nonviolent action as people rally, march, host teach-ins, press conferences, and vigils to demand that Congress fight back and protect our freedom to vote!
